Dear Friends of People for People:

From the staff at People for People, and the Board of Directors we want to wish you all a Happy Holiday Season. We appreciate your help in 2015 by making it another outstanding year at People for People. It is not too late to receive a tax deduction for 2015 by donating to our 501c3 organization before December 31, 2015. Click the "Give Now" button and follow the instructions as to how to donate to our cause.
In 2015 we were once again able to help hundreds of families and individuals through a rough time in their lives through grants, advocacy, and case management for those that “Fell Through the Cracks” of traditional government and charity assistance. Our “Hands Across the County Network Program” was greatly expanded in 2015 and now has over 450 partners, both traditional and non-traditional, that can team together to help pool resources and expertise to provide the most assistance possible for those seeking help.

People for People was also very excited to be able to lead the effort to lay 2100 “Wreaths of Remembrance” at the Gloucester County Veteran Memorial Cemetery in Williamstown, to honor those that served their country. We were able to raise the funds needed and receive the support of over 900 volunteers to help with the laying of the wreaths and other related activities.  We are also happy to say that we have expanded our efforts with the "Gloucester County Vets Helping Vets" by collecting medical supplies and seeing that they are distributed to vets in need. And, we were very happy with the support and turnout of our Vet’s Picnic in September when over 1000 people came together to honor our veterans. In 2016 our goal is to not only continue these efforts but to grow them as well.

People for People also saw our initiative of partnering with Conifer Reality LLC and expanding into providing services in the Affordable Housing market for Gloucester County with the ground breaking at the White Oaks Lane in Mantua. The year 2016 will also be the year that our “Camp Salute” project is scheduled to start. Camp Salute will be a veteran preference low to moderate income housing development for the Delaware Valley region veteran community.

In September 2011 People for People was honored to be asked to be the Lead Agency by the Pascale Sykes Foundation to head up the “Heart of Gloucester County” initiative. We introduced this new program in January 2012 that is designed to help strengthen low to moderate income two adult caregiver families and provide the guidance, tools and training to help them towards self-sufficiency. We are very excited about this new program and proud of our team agencies that include EIRC, Center for People in Transition, Senior/Community Corp, Volunteer Center of Gloucester County, Center for Family Services, and others. In November 2012 People for People and The Heart of Gloucester County introduced to the public and the help provider community our web based “Resource Directory” that provides valuable information to the community seeking help or assistance. Go to and click the link to the HGC Directory.

The goal of People for People is to continue serving the residents of Gloucester County, and be an even bigger positive force for the normally self-sufficient population in their time of need. Help us Help others in 2016.

Thank you.
